Husavik
Husavik is located in north eastern Iceland a pleasant 90 km drive from Akureyri and it is the whale watching capital of Europe. From the pretty port you can take a whale watching boat trip on the wooden good boats between May and September. Husavik is also a great base for visiting the numerous attractions of northern Iceland such as Myvatn, Dettifoss and Akureyri.

The house was built in 1903 and there is an aura of warmth and refinement about it which reflects its long and proud history as a residence for the district governor.
