Akureyri
Akureyri is the 'Capital of the North' and a vibrant place with a warmer climate due to geographical factors. This important port and fisheries centre can be explored easily on foot. Akureyri has a wealth of supermarkets and several pubs and discos can be found in Akureyri, although the nocturnal nightlife is not as lively as Reykjavik you can still have a good night out.
